Is pasta vegan or not?

Most dried boxed pasta is vegan. Most packaged pasta is made from flour, salt, water.  But make sure you check the packaging. 

Look on the packaging for eggs.  

We make fresh pasta, but our recipe uses eggs.  So when we are making pasta for our vegan friends, we used packaged pasta.

5 Minute Vegan Pasta Sauce

Making a quick vegan pasta sauce isn't hard.  You simply need a few ingredients that most of us have easily available:

  • Olive Oil – about 1/2 cup
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup green bell peppers 
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup fresh Basil torn or 1tbs dried basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

In a saucepan on low-medium heat, add olive oil, onion, peppers, and garlic and saute for 3  minutes.  Add tomatoes and seasoning and cook for 2 more minutes until hot and bubbly.  Stirring constantly.
