This week we have something special for you.  It’s a new mocktail recipe AND and new product review! We share our Lemony Peach Baby Bellini recipe that’s perfect for baby showers, garden parties, and relaxing with the ladies at your next get-together. With our without the CBD, this is a sweet tart cocktail that’s sure to delight.

We have been busy this summer coming up with new recipes to share, like our Lemony Peach Baby Bellini.  It’s been a crazy fun summer, full of challenges.  Like trying to find all of the ingredients for some of our recipes! LOL!! So we had to start being more creative with our recipes and figure out how we could keep staring easy recipes for you to share with your friends and family.

At the same time, our friends at Caasi asked us to review their new Non-flavored Water Soluble CBD beverage drops.  That’s when I decided that it would be cool to write a new mocktail recipe, and give you the option of adding a little something special to this drink for a calming effect without the alcohol.

Peachy Lemon Baby Belleni Recipe AND Review of Caasi CBD Beverage Drops

Our Lemony Peach Baby Bellinis are my favorite summertime treat.  We make a big batch of our Peach Sauce and it’s easy to stir together a few Lemony Peach Baby Bellenis anytime we want them.

For a yummy frozen treat, we like to freeze our Peach Sauce into ice cubes and keep them in the freezer.  Then you can toss a few peachy cubes into the blender and blend until smooth and slushy. Then add the slush to your glass and top with the rest of the ingredients.

Because this is a CBD mocktail recipe, we left off the booze and replaced it with flavorless THC-free CBD beverage drops so you can enjoy these summertime cocktails and still drive to the beach!

What is Caasi? What are CBD Beverage Drops?

Caasi is an Oregon based, CBD company making flavorless THC-FREE beverage drops. These are different from tinctures, as they are meant to go into your drinks and they are much stronger and work faster.

What makes Caasi different from other CBD products? Caasi hemp drops are crafted specifically to be bioavailable to the body and act faster so you can have the great relief from CBD without any high.

Other CBD tinctures are meant to be placed under the tongue. But water soluble beverage drops work better when mixed with liquid.

Caasi’s hemp comes from Horn Creek farms in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon and their organic ingredients are verified with Scientia Labs. We have more info here.

How long does it take to feel the effects of the CBD?

When I tried the drops directly on my tongue ( I wanted to get a true idea of the flavor so I could find a good recipe that worked with it. )  I actually felt the tingle on my tongue within a minute.  It isn’t a bad feel, but more of something like licking a penny. Yes, I know.. I’m a weirdo.

CBD tinctures normally take 20-40 minutes to kick in as the isolates break down and most have an oily bitter taste.  Which is why they are mixed with citrus or mint flavors.

Caasi doesn’t have a taste. It has the mouth feel of water. Not oily at all.

I tried the product in both water and other drinks, and there isn’t a flavor. So you can easily add it in anything and you can feel the effects within 10 minutes.

Hot Or Cold

One of the advantages to a water soluble CBD like Caasi is that you can use it hot or cold. The CBD won’t be destroyed until about 400F,  but you will have some reduction in potency. But this is already a concentrated CBD, so you would need to cook it for 12 or more hours at 400F for it to make it less effective.

Heating it in hot chocolate or coffee won’t do anything to the potency.

We love supporting kickass women!

I am a big believer in supporting women who dare to fight back.  Caasi’s founder, Lori Peck battled breast cancer, a divorce, lost her home and continued to raise her family without losing hope.

I love that she says ” How we move forward in the face of adversity is a choice. The foundation of my strength and resilience came from gratitude, forgiveness, love of friends and family, meditation, an active healthy lifestyle and yes, the help of CBD.”

Damned straight!

We love that this power woman took control over her health, her family, and her future.

What is a Baby Bellini?

A Baby Bellini is a quick booze-free Bellini. A Bellini is a popular sparkling cocktail made with Prosecco and peach puree. It originated in Venice, Italy and is a popular brunch cocktail.

Fun Topping Ideas:

  • Raspberries
  • Peaches
  • Lemons
  • Mint

How much CBD to add?

We recommend starting small.  I added 5-7 drops per glass and found it to be adequate.

However, if you are more experienced with CBD beverages, feel free to add more or less for your desired potency.

Want The Booze?

Traditionally, Bellinis are made with 1 cup Prosecco wine. But we like them a little sweet and also suggest adding 3 oz peach schnapps too!

Why make a mocktail?

Many people are choosing to live a sober life and don’t want to miss out on the enjoyment of flavorful adult drinks. A good mocktail is enjoyable to drink but often has a more sophisticated taste than sodas or “kids drinks.”

When I go out with my husband and friends, I still want to enjoy drinking something tasty.  But I don’t drink alcohol often, so I always order a mocktail.  However, I’m usually limited to Shirley Temples or “something fruity” that the bartender can come up with.

So when I entertain at home, I like to have a mocktail option for my friends and family.
