Yam & Cannellini bean burger

I’ve been a vegetarian for just about 15 years. It was originally something I thought I might do for a while to lose some weight and see how I felt. However it turned into a passion and something I feel good about.

Through the years I’ve had a lot of veggie burgers. From homemade to gourmet veggie burgers in upscale restaurants, the best burgers have a lot of flavor, texture, and don’t try to be a flat beef burger.

Check out this recipe for a yam and cannellini burger. The colors, texture, and flavor combinations sound great!

I am a veggie burger addict. Anytime I find myself in a restaurant with a veggie burger option I will rarely take other menu items into consideration. I not only enjoy trying different burgers at restaurants, I also thoroughly enjoy making them from scratch at home. I make a wide assortment of veggie burgers, and I promise I will post all of them at some point. Today I am going to introduce you to one of my personal favourites, and less common veggie burger. The yam and cannellini bean burger. It’s a simple, yet flavourful recipe.

Something I like to do no matter what type of burger I am making is to make a nice garlic spread for the bun and bake it in the oven. I use Earth balance vegan butter for this.

    I loved this post. As a vegetarian I’m always looking for different veggie burger types. I have never heard of cannellini and yam though – YUM. Anyways, I work for SkinnyPop. I’d love to work together with an upcoming post idea I think you might love.
