Review of London’s Giraffe Restaurant

Amazing Nachos

London is a huge city and full of so many different cultures and a wide range of culinary treats.  So choosing where to go can be tricky.

We found a few places that were inexpensive, had options for vegetarians, and didn’t require a reservation.

While we were there my daughter had a wild craving for Nachos. In London??

Well after a quick search we actually did find a lovely place where nachos are not only on the menu, but done so well that we had to go back several times that week to have them again.

Giraffe is a fun place to try. It can be loud, the tables are very close together, and it can take a bit of time to get your food. BUT, it is a lovely menu, lots of options, and the servers are fantastic. Here is what  we ordered:

Nachos Nirvana – home fried tortilla chips topped with veggie chili mix, melting cheese, jalapenos, fiery chipotle salsa, guacamole & sour cream.

The veggie chili is so good that we ordered it on the side for dinner one night.

Falafel Deluxe Burger -grilled pepper, halloumi, carrot, beetroot, mixed leaves, tzatziki, red pepper & harissa hummus

A little on the dry side without the Tzatziki, the sandwich is actually very tasty though.

Miso & Lime Grilled Salmon –wasabi fried rice, teriyaki greens & fresh lime with sesame crunch

This has a zesty kick, so be prepared for the spice.  But it is flavorful, filling, and enough to share.

Tofu & Squash Laksa –fragrant spiced coconut broth with snap peas, broccoli, red chilli & rice noodles

Meh, this one is a bit too mild, almost bland. But it was nice on a cold winter day.  Though I wouldn’t get it again.
