Well.. here's an update on my gluten free and dairy free experiment. It is HARD!
I've been doing it for almost 2 weeks now. And it is getting easier, but it is still very hard to be a gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian.
There have been moments when I realized too late that I didn't check a label, and yes… my upset stomach let me know about it.
However the upside is that I am actually feeling better.
My aches and pains are down quite a bit. I haven't needed a pain reliever for the last 2 weeks.
I lost over 10lbs and I haven't changed my exercise routine at all.
My inflammation issues seem to be a little better.
And overall, I feel like I am starting to feel less grouchy about giving up gluten and dairy.
It's hard. I really really miss my mac and cheese. But, I know that in 6 months, I will be better able to see what difference it makes for me. I've learned a few new recipes and I am happy that I'm learning a new cooking skill.
<3 I feel your pain. Humans are addicted to gluten and don't know it. So it takes me typically 2 weeks to loose that crave. Even when I glutened by accident, the smallest amount, I'll crave bagels REAL bagels and it goes away after just about 2 weeks. It sucks!
Wow! I can’t give up my Mac and Cheese for anything!!! You got guts…Kudos to you 🙂
I am going to try a Mac and cheese recipe. But I don’t have high hopes
