Ready… Set… Move On!

“Sometimes writing is running downhill, your fingers jerking behind you on the keyboard the way your legs do when they can’t quite keep up with gravity.”

Ready… set… go!

That’s sort of how I feel right now.  I took some time off to put my head together after some recent moments in my personal life that just seemed to be sucking up my thoughts.

But in the back of my head, I just felt like I just wanted to get back to work, back here to my blog, and get out of the moment.

Yes, spending time with friends and family recently really helped me to focus on what was important in life. When times are hard, and you need to lean on others, it is good to know who will step up and be right there beside you, and who won’t.

And for those who won’t.. or weren’t…  I get it. I really do.  Sometimes you have to do what is best for you, maybe you have to let go and really face the fact that you are just not as connected or emotionally capable of dealing with certain situations.

Anyways, I am back to work today, thinking about what I want to focus on this month for Dancing With Fireflies.  Recently I’ve been asked to write a few articles about writing, blogging, and my life as a writer.  I’ve loved the opportunities to guest blog on other great websites and recently I even wrote a piece about how to take your blog from a hobby to a job.

July is a great time to really dig in and get writing.  I love spending time out on the patio writing and thinking. I’m even one of those that brings her laptop along on vacations and takes a few hours break from the craziness of traveling to relax and write.  It’s my happy time when I get to sit out in a new beautiful place and write whatever comes to my head.

This month I’ll be on the road a bit, I’m headed to Florida to explore and get some sunshine. So along with some writing tips this month, I’ll be posting about my Floridian adventures.

So I’m ready to get over this blues and get on with life!  Let’s GO!
