Musings and Creations

Christmas Eve dawned crisp and cloudy.  The sun that punctured the clouds every now and again earlier in the week, made only rare appearances now, and the rain that Ireland is so well known for was becoming more and more prevalent.

Ok enough flowery language, here’s what we did.  I had lived/studied in Ireland back in college (10 years ago, do the math) and when I studied there, I stayed with a cranky old Irish woman, an American, a Russian and a Spaniard in beautiful Dalkey.  Dalkey is a tiny coastal town just south of Dublin proper, and reachable by the DART, Dublin’s “local” passenger train (http://www.irishrail.ie/about-us/dart-commuter ).  As I hadn’t been back, I convinced the boys it would be a good idea to head down the coast and see Dalkey, mostly for nostalgia’s sake.  The guys wanted to see some of the environment, so we hoofed it up…
