Weekly Writing Challenge – Colorful Characters

“I don’t know where people got the idea that characters in books are supposed to be likable. Books are not in the business of creating merely likeable characters with whom you can have some simple identification with. Books are in the business of creating great stories that make you’re brain go ahhbdgbdmerhbergurhbudgerbudbaaarr.”
―     John Green

Character creations can be one of the most difficult parts of the writing process.  Creating someone who your readers can feel through your words is your job as a writer.  This week’s challenge is for you to create a character from a color.  Bashful blue, careless orange, or yucky yellow, you create a character based on a color.

Don’t forget to post it on your blog or your Facebook and post the link here in the comment section.  You can also post your links on our Facebook page

To participate, tag your post with FireFlychallenge and include a link to this post to generate a pingback. Your posts DO NOT have to specifically written in response to this challenge. We love reading great pieces and all are accepted!

Want others to critique it?  Let us know that too!

Have a great week!
