Book Review: Bobbi Brown Everything Eyes by Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown Everything EyesBobbi Brown Everything Eyes by Bobbi Brown

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this book as part of a First Reads give-away and I am so thrilled that I did. The book is wonderful and a great gift for any make-up loving young woman in your life.

I really enjoyed the way the book was organized because I found it very easy to stroll through the book and find tips that actually fit my face. These aren’t hard skilled tips that require special tools or expensive make-up. They are everyday tips for every face.

My teenage daughter is a make-up queen. She loves watching the videos and trying new techniques. When she found this book waiting for her she let out a scream of delight, which other parents of teens know is a major event when a teen gets this excited over a book her mother liked. She’s got this book right next to her make-up and I love that she was actually using it regularly.

One of the things she and I both really liked about the book is that it helped us find our best colors and helped us bring out our best with little effort. I loved the suggestions for glasses and she loved the bold looks that she could create to bring out her eyes.

This book is a great gift and I would strongly recommend it for teens to queens!

  1. Great to hear that some of these tips do not need advanced skills to try. I love the work Bobbi Brown does to make us even more beautiful!! I will hunt out this title. It looks a great way to get the most out of make up. Your reviews are a great read, factual, clear and engaging.

    • 🙂 The books is very easy to follow for those of us without a master’s degree in make-up. But it makes us look like we have a personal assistant to do it for us. Thanks for the compliment! I am inspired to do more now.

      • I love a few good make up tips! This is the book for me, a bit of know how goes such a long way. I already use her pot of liquid eyeliner (not sure what the brand name of it is!)

I like the honesty you have in your reviews, without ripping the work down, you are truthful about the content.

        • Thanks. I really feel like it is ok that you don’t always love a book. You should be honest about it. I am often disappointed when I try to get through a book and it is just not great, or what I wanted. I wish someone would have told me. So yeah, sometimes my reviews won’t be glitter and dazzle, but they will be honest.
